The Nokia 6700 Slide looks like it could be the next handset release from Nokia. At least, according to a couple of online retailers that it. The Nokia 6700 Slide is set to launch in at least six fruity colours, from Lime to Pink, as well as a more standard Silver. Find out about the Nokia 6700 Slide launching in March after the jump…
The Nokia 6700 Slide found itself being announced last year but to-date we’ve not heard anything else about this handset. The Nokia 6700 is set to be powered by the Symbian S60 OS and has a 2.2-inch screen, as well as 29 hours of audio playback.
Other features include a 5-Megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with dual LED flash and a dedicated camera button, as well as full support for 3G, HSDPA/HSUPA and social networking sites such as Facebook and Flickr.
Now, Nokia hasn’t made any form of official statement other than to say it would appear Q1 2010, and there are no details on the Nokia Online site so its sheer speculation on Carphone Warehouse’s part that we’ll see some Slide action in March. What’s more, there is no pricing yet, so we’re still assuming it will be around the £140 SIM free mark that Nokia suggested.
Elsewhere, Play.com has also yet to set a price, but they are offering the full array of colours for the Nokia 6700 Slide, which consist of Aluminium, pink, petrol-blue, red, lime and purple, all of which are aimed squarely at the youth market.
We reckon Nokia could well be onto a winner with the Nokia 6700 Slide, it’s a good looking device packing in some pretty amazing tech and if the price stays consistent it’s well within budget for most users looking to get their first taste of smartphone action.
