Anyway, it seems that all the feedback received convinced Nokia that users of the smartphone deserve a better experience when using the phone. And to make things even better, they also released a major firmware update for Nokia 5530 XpressMusic smartphone.
From what we found, Nokia 5800 software update v51.0.006 is not a major update, but still it brings some minor bugs fixes, as well as some performance improvements: Improved Mail for Exchange; Improved video calls; Improved browser; Performance improvements. Other changes noticed include: MusicPlayer refresh is very fast; Browser 7.X; Latest OVI store; Latest OVI Music; Latest OVI contacts; Vibration levels in order, and more clear; RDS seems to be working again; Kinetics slightly improved.
Nokia 5530 XpressMusic major update V31.0.005 also brings some fixes and performance improvements: Browser improved; fixed: issues with chinese characters; Menu improved; fixed: Dictionary application can't be activated by voice command; Problem solved: phone hang when listen radio; fixed some date and clock problems; FOTA feature improved.
If you own one of these devices and want to do the update, first make a backup of your info and then type *#0000# on your homescreen to check out the software version you have. The update can be done through the Nokia PC Suite and requires Internet connection.
Unfortunately, the updates are only available for unlocked smartphone. Those that bought themselves a carrier version of one of the phone will have to wait a few weeks until the update will be available.
