Even though it was predictable, Samsung Seek (SPH-M350) has been added by Boost Mobile to its CDMA lineup. Officially launched through Sprint carrier a few weeks ago, the featurephone is not offered by the no-contract wireless company Boost mobile, which is also part of the Sprint Prepaid Group. Nevertheless, Samsung Seek is the first touchscreen mobile phone with a slide-out keyboard coming to Boost Mobile's MVNO network.
The featurephone includes a 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen display (240 x 320 pixels resolution), a 1.3-megapixel camera, a full QWERTY keyboard, wireless web email access, Stereo Bluetooth connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
Even if it's just an entry-level mobile phone, Seek also features voice recognition capabilities, enhanced MP3 music player, as well as instant messaging (AOL, Yahoo! and MSN).
The Samsung Seek is set to hit the shelves on August 25th for only $149 with free shipping. It will be available on Boost Mobile's Web site, but those that wish to get it can also find it through some exclusive stores.
In addition, the Seek will also be available in Best Buy and RadioShack stores by the end of this month, and is expected to be available in Sprint stores in September and Target stores in October.
